A rock drilling rig suitable for mines in Zambia has been developed
In a copper mine in Zambia, copper and cobalt ores are produced from the ground, entering from the surface through a vertical shaft, providing access to 3580L. The current production capacity is 3240L. The mining method used is vertical hopper retreat (VCR), and a combination of secondary caving (SLC) and open static techniques.
The mine's underground reserves include 108,145,000 tonnes of ore with a copper content of 1.83% and a cobalt content of 0.12%. Copper and cobalt mineralization occurs within the ore shale. Vertical funnel retreat mining is the dominant mining method, but segment mining and segment caving are also employed. In order to expand the output of copper ore and increase the life of the mine, a double direction inclined shaft has been established, which can obtain 115 million tons of copper ore.
The hydraulic mining jumbo is an important equipment for the segmental bottomless column caving method.
The hydraulic mining jumbo is an important equipment for the segmental bottomless column caving method. The equipment has been exported to Zambia for use in the past two years, and has received unanimous praise from the mining company. The vehicle has the functions of leaning forward 20°, leaning back 80°, moving the drill pipe in translation, and rotating 360° flexibly. The positioning system is reliable and the drilling accuracy is high. At the same time, it is equipped with an automatic rod changing device with a manipulator, and 17 drill pipes can be stored in the rod storage device, and the maximum drilling depth can reach 30 meters.
The car is equipped with a highly sensitive anti-jamming device, which reduces the risk of the drill bit and drill pipe getting stuck in the hole when excavating some broken zones and faults. The vehicle adopts wireless remote control, which makes mining operations safer and more convenient. The vehicle is equipped with a self-developed Focor 550 hydraulic rock drill. The impact frequency is higher than that of similar imported products when the single impact power is equivalent to that of imported products. The φ76 bit rock drilling speed can reach 1.2 m/min.
