As global mineral exploitation continues toward deep‑level and narrow‑vein ore bodies, confined underground tunnels and limited working space have become widespread challenges for the mining industry. Conventional large‑tonnage underground haulage machines feature bulky dimensions and fail to fit narrow drifts. Expanding tunnel cross‑sections to accommodate oversized trucks will drastically raise excavation expenditure and increase ore dilution rate, which directly erodes overall project profit margins. Against this market backdrop, the FUK‑6 underground mining truck, purpose‑built for small‑and‑medium hard‑rock underground mines, has emerged as a primary trackless transport unit for ore and waste rock haulage in narrow‑vein gold, copper, zinc and non‑metal mines. Thanks to its compact articulated chassis, proven imported core assemblies, multi‑layer safety protection and flexible customization, it effectively solves material transportation bottlenecks within small‑cross‑section underground roadways.

The FUK‑6 underground mining truck delivers a rated payload of 6000kg with a 3m³ SAE heaped bucket capacity. Its overall dimension measures 5950mm×1500mm×2009mm. The narrow‑profile body enables smooth passage through restricted underground drifts. Adopting a centre‑pivot articulated frame, the truck reaches a minimum inner turning radius of only 3842.5 mm and outer turning radius of 5649.8 mm. Articulated steering allows front and rear frames to follow nearly identical travel paths. Operators can negotiate sharp underground bends, meeting‑points and loading spots at working faces without frequent reversing and readjustment. It minimizes wall‑scraping risks, reduces premature wear of tires and bodywork, and safeguards underground personnel and surrounding equipment. The minimum ground clearance stands at 255mm, granting reliable mobility over rough underground ground scattered with broken rocks and eliminating frequent chassis scraping failures under harsh site conditions.

Power is supplied by original German DEUTZ BF6L914 turbocharged air‑cooled diesel engine, rated 84kW at 2300rpm. The air‑cooled layout removes water‑cooling pipelines. It shows superior resistance against high humidity, heavy dust and sharp temperature swings deep underground, avoiding typical water‑cooling faults such as leakage and frost cracking and supporting sustained round‑the‑clock underground operation. The complete powertrain integrates American DANA torque converter and mechanical‑shift transmission assembly for stable transmission efficiency. The drive axle is Meitong QY‑150 heavy‑duty rigid planetary axle fitted with NO‑SPIN anti‑slip

 differential, which prevents wheel spin on slippery, muddy underground ramps. Under full load, gradeability reaches 25% with maximum traction force of 124KN. Three forward‑reverse speed ranges are provided: first gear at 5km/h for heavy‑load climbing and loading cycles; second gear at 11 km/h balancing speed and terrain adaptability; third gear delivers top speed of 19 km/h for rapid long‑distance travelling along horizontal drifts. Operators can shift gears according to gradient and payload to sustain stable continuous multi‑shift production.

The hydraulic system incorporates world‑renowned international components. Working pump and steering pump are supplied by Parker from United States, brake pump by Rexroth of Germany. Valves are sourced from Parker, Wabco, Mico and WILLIAMS respectively. Critical hydraulic parts are fully imported to lower risks of leakage and sticking under heavy cyclic underground loads. Rated pressure is set at 14MPa for working and steering circuits, and 12.5MPa for brake circuit. Hydraulic hoses and pipelines are selected for high abrasion‑resistance and impact‑resistance to cope with underground vibration and rock impacts. Dual‑layer safety is embedded within the braking system. Service brake adopts fully‑enclosed multi‑disc wet hydraulic brake, completely sealed against dust, mud and water. It avoids thermal fading risks occurring with dry brakes during continuous downhill braking. Spring‑applied parking brake automatically engages under hydraulic pressure loss or power failure, locking the vehicle and preventing run‑away accidents. This dual‑brake architecture complies with safety codes for underground mining both domestically and internationally.

Operator cabin is reinforced by 6mm thick welded steel plates for improved protection against falling rock impacts. The base configuration features manual control, while optional remote‑control system enables full wireless operation including loading, hauling and dumping. Operators can stay away from high‑risk stopes, enhancing inherent mine safety. The hopper is fabricated from high‑strength manganese steel with replaceable wear‑resistant liners to absorb heavy ore impact and extend service life. Hydraulic lifting takes merely 7seconds, lowering time is 6seconds and dumping angle reaches 62°, guaranteeing clean material discharge without residue. Short cycle times significantly boost mine haulage rhythm.

Multiple optional upgrade packages are available upon customer request. Centralized automatic lubrication can be fitted to deliver grease for hinge points and bearings and cut manual maintenance workload. Rear‑view camera eliminates blind spots at vehicle rear and improves visibility in dim underground environments. Custom‑tailored body dimensions are also offered for special low‑height or extra‑narrow tunnels. The truck’s operating weight is 8000 kg, equipped with heavy‑duty 14.00‑24 mining tires. The 24V electrical system is powered by two 12V batteries with dust‑proof and moisture‑proof treatment for underground surroundings. Service access points are laid out for convenient inspection and component replacement, shortening downtime and lowering overall operational costs for mine owners.

Manufacturers deliver customized configuration proposals according to mine geology, tunnel geometry, ventilation status and regional safety regulations worldwide.
