FK20‑1BCDL Single‑Boom Drilling Jumbo: Versatile New Solution for Small‑Section Underground Mining

Oct. 28, 2026

Developed to address challenges in thin‑vein underground mining and small‑scale tunneling construction, the FK20‑1BCDL single‑boom electro‑hydraulic drilling jumbo is now commercially available. Optimized for small underground drifts, it delivers maximum drilling coverage of 6.0m × 6.1m with 15° maximum gradeability under full load. Four‑wheel‑drive ensures reliable underground mobility. It drills holes from 32mm to 76mm diameter. The drilling boom rotates 360° and features built‑in anti‑jamming protection. Working cross‑sections ranging from 8㎡ to 45㎡ are supported. It completes full‑range drilling for face, roof, side‑wall and floor, carrying out both production blast holes and rock‑bolt holes efficiently. The “one‑machine‑two‑purpose” design cuts capital expenditure for mine operators.

Key components adopt well‑known international brands: Deutz 5‑cylinder diesel engine and Dana drive axles guarantee robust reliability and long service life. The unit is fitted with HYG550 high‑frequency hydraulic rock drill delivering 24kW impact power within 50‑75Hz impact frequency. A dual‑buffer shock‑absorbing system plus self‑lubricating materials inside the rock drill extend drill‑tool service life and lengthen maintenance intervals, reducing overall consumable costs for mines.

The hydraulic parallel‑holding boom keeps the feed beam parallel in all orientations. Precise parallel blast holes are achieved without manual calibration, offering accurate hole spacing and parallelism to minimize overbreak and improve blasting results. An optional double‑layer telescopic feed beam enables deep‑hole drilling for tunneling. For rock‑bolting tasks, the feed beam retracts to shorter overall length. The shortened feed unit can tilt and swing in confined drifts to drill roof and side‑wall bolt holes, adapting flexibly to variable underground conditions.

Full‑process PLC control supports remote‑control operation. A FOPS‑certified protective roof offers safe ergonomic working conditions. All service points are easily accessible for simplified on‑site maintenance. The articulated‑steering chassis reaches travel speed of 10km/h. Four extendable hydraulic jacks stabilize the machine during drilling. Standard configurations include water‑cooled hydraulics, water dust suppression, air lubrication circuit, 24‑V electric system, automatic cable reel and Michelin heavy‑duty tires. Total machine weight is 11500kg with compact 1910mm overall width, well‑suited for confined underground drifts in small‑to‑medium mines.

Custom component selection is available according to mine geology and tunnel dimensions. FK20‑1BCDL provides cost‑effective drilling‑and‑bolting solutions for underground mining and tunneling projects worldwide.
