FK20‑2BCDL Twin‑Boom Hydraulic Face Drill Rig Boosts Efficient Underground Excavation

Nov. 04, 2026

The FK20‑2BCDL hydraulic face drilling jumbo is professional drilling equipment developed for underground mining, tunneling and geotechnical construction. It fits medium‑large tunnel cross‑sections with maximum coverage of 8.7m×6.3m. It is capable of drilling blast holes and drift bolt holes, delivering highly‑reliable mechanized solutions for underground projects.

This jumbo adopts dual electro‑hydraulic power configuration. The 55kW electric motor supplies steady power for drilling operations, while the 52kW Deutz 5‑cylinder diesel engine handles tramming and slope climbing. Its maximum gradeability reaches 14°, and flat‑ground driving speed hits up to 10km/h, delivering excellent underground mobility. Fitted with the patented FOR550 hydraulic rock drill of 24kW impact power, it drills holes from 32mm to 76mm in diameter with maximum hole depth of 3.5meters. Separate hydraulic pumps independently control anti‑jamming, feeding and rotation functions. This design stabilizes drilling cycles, reduces jamming risks and balances drilling accuracy and penetration speed.

It is equipped with FKZB4 drilling booms with full parallel‑holding function. The boom roll‑over range is ±180°, lifting angle +65°/-30°, and swing angle ±30°. The feed stroke extends up to 1250mm to adapt to varied tunnel profiles. Two extendable hydraulic jacks are mounted at both front and rear ends to firmly anchor the machine during drilling. Comprehensive monitoring and alarm indicators cover water‑temperature overheat, oil‑temperature overheat, low‑oil‑level alert, oil‑filter warning and tank temperature gauge. Operators can monitor real‑time machine status and detect potential faults in advance to enhance underground safety.

The air system uses an ABB 5.5kW air pump with working pressure of 2‑8bar. The water system is equipped with an ABB 7.5kW water pump offering 8‑12bar working pressure for wet drilling and dust suppression. It adopts Clark hydrostatic transmission and Dana axles to cope with rough underground road conditions. The hydraulic system runs at max. 200bar, equipped with water‑cooled oil cooling, complete filtration circuit and mineral hydraulic oil. Pumps unload upon startup to extend component service life. Overall dimension is 11800×2200×2300mm with total machine weight of 18tons, compatible with transportation in most underground mine roadways.

In real‑site operation, the FK20‑2BCDL performs both blast‑hole drilling and drift‑bolt drilling tasks. The high‑impact rock drill plus precise boom positioning improves hole quality, lowers drill‑rod consumption and cuts operating costs. Manufactured under ISO and CE standards, every production stage undergoes strict inspection. Complete machine warranty is provided. The factory maintains sufficient stock of wearing parts. Order lead‑time ranges 15‑30days. Payment terms including T/T and L/C are accepted. Complete equipment packages and after‑sales technical support are available for global mining and tunneling projects.
